Jashpur ! Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, Jashpur district has received a major developmental gift. The state government has granted administrative approval of ₹9.45 crore (94.5 million 85 thousand rupees) for the construction of a high-level bridge and approach road over the Shree River on the Kunkuri-Tapkara-Lawakera road, included in the 2025-26 budget. This road is considered a vital link between Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, and Odisha. The bridge’s construction will provide better and safer transportation for the people of all three states and boost trade, employment, and regional development. Currently, the narrow bridge caused significant inconvenience to residents during the rainy season. Rising water levels disrupted traffic, leading to frequent accidents. This route became a risky route for villagers, masons, and passersby. The construction of the high-level bridge will provide significant relief. Locals stated that the construction of this bridge had been a long-standing demand. There is an atmosphere of joy in the area after receiving administrative approval. Villagers expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, stating that the government is continuously working for the development of rural and border areas. The construction of the high-level bridge will strengthen education, health, trade, and transportation facilities. Thousands of villagers will also benefit from safe and easy transportation. Residents believe that this bridge will prove to be a milestone in the development of Jashpur district.
