Jashpur: The detailed version of Daya Ram Yadav, Senior Business Manager at SBI Life Insurance’s Pathalgaon branch, has come to the fore in connection with an alleged dispute involving the company. Yadav has completely denied the allegations made against him and his agent, Narendra Behera. He has maintained that the allegations are incorrect and that the facts of the matter should be understood in accordance with the rules and procedures of the insurance policy.
According to Yadav, customers are informed about the terms and conditions, benefits, rules and necessary procedures of an insurance policy before the policy process is completed. He said that only after explaining the relevant aspects to the customer and obtaining their voluntary consent is the insurance process taken forward.
Yadav further stated that as part of their regular responsibilities, branch officials provide agents with training and information about insurance products. According to him, the purpose of such training is to ensure that agents have correct product knowledge and not to mislead or pressure any customer into purchasing a policy.
OTP and Video Confirmation
Yadav said that in this particular case also, the necessary procedures prescribed by the company, including mobile OTP verification and video confirmation, were completed. According to him, the insurance process cannot be completed without the customer’s consent.
Yadav’s Version Regarding Settlement and Transactions
Regarding the financial transaction connected with the policy, Yadav said that a dispute had arisen over the payment. He claimed that during the settlement process, the amount was returned and a written settlement was subsequently reached between the parties. He also stated that documents relating to the transaction and the terms regarding payment in the future are available.
According to Yadav, PhonePe transaction details, banking records, cheques, policy documents, the settlement document and other relevant records can establish the actual facts of the matter.
Allegations Described as Incorrect and Misleading
Yadav has rejected the allegations made against him and his agent Narendra Behera, stating that they do not correspond with the actual facts. He has also denied any allegation of fraud or of obtaining an insurance policy by providing false information to the customer.
Questions Raised Over Inclusion of His Name
Yadav has also raised questions over the inclusion of his name in the complaint. He claims that his name was included due to an error and that the woman had also acknowledged that his name was mentioned mistakenly. However, this particular claim has not been independently verified.
At present, the woman’s complaint and the version presented by Senior Business Manager Daya Ram Yadav are both part of the matter. The allegations and counterclaims remain subject to verification based on the relevant documents, company records and other available evidence.
